Everyone knows that Disneyland and EuroDisneyland offer some truly exciting rides and a massive selection of attractions. What many don’t realise is that the restaurants and diners within the theme parks and Disneyland hotels are just as fun, and they provide a whole range of eating options. The decor, the menus and the special characteristics of each one make eating breakfast, lunch or dinner an entertaining experience.

You can also enjoy some fun meals by dining in the restaurants within the different Disneyland hotels. The dining rooms and menus are often themed to match the hotel’s character, and you’ll never be far from your room. But if you’d prefer to stay at one of the cheap hotels further afield, you’ll find plenty to satiate your hunger within the Disneyland theme park.

Just like the theme parks themselves, Disney restaurants ensure that children have plenty to keep them happy. The Pizza Planet restaurant which featured in the Toy Story movie, is brought to life as a real pizzeria where kids can play on videogames and a playground while waiting for their meal to arrive. Elsewhere there is the Rainforest Cafe which is designed in the style of a lush jungle scene, complete with tropical fish, and various animated creatures inside. While you’re eating your meal you can expect to hear thunderstorm sound effects and animal noises at regular intervals. You’ll really feel like you’re in the rainforest, and the gift shop is a great place to pick up some animal souvenirs afterwards.

Of course, adults don’t have to miss out on some high-class dining. There are several options for those keen on a fine restaurant, such as Auberge de Cendrillon. It looks like a cross between a classic fairytale castle a French country house, and the meals here are French style cuisine. There is also a great selection of French wines available. Another option is the Steakhouse, one of the most upmarket establishments within the Disneyland complex. Styled to replicate Chicago’s great steak restaurants, with linen tableclothes, wood-panel walls and good, silver cutlery.

There are also options for some entertainment while you dine, such as Buffalo Bill’s Wild West Show. The whole family can enjoy the buffet-style banquet and live show featuring cowboys, indians and horses. For dinner and a show, drop in for a bite at the Buffalo Bill’s Wild West Show. As you enjoy a buffet dinner you get to watch an interactive, live cowboy show, and you can guarantee this place can get really rowdy! It certainly makes for a fun night out, and one the whole family can enjoy. Step into the Caribbean, at the Blue Lagoon, where tables sit amongst palm trees and the menu features many seafood and Creole style dishes. And if it’s just dessert you’re after, head over to the Gibson Girl Ice Cream Parlour, an old-fashioned-style ice cream restaurant, with a range of flavours to choose from.
